Chow Time: Eat‘s Natalie Young Preps a Second Downtown Restaurant
Downtown’s dining darling is doubling down. Chef and restaurateur Natalie Young, proprietor of wildly popular breakfast and lunch spot Eat, is set to open a second Downtown restaurant. Chow will serve classic Southern fried chicken, Chinese food and more at 1020 E. Fremont St., a long-empty space formerly occupied by a boxing gym.
The fried chicken part comes as no surprise; Eat has held a few dinners featuring the favorite dish. But Chinese? “There’s no great Chinese food Downtown,” Young says. “And you know how I love to fill niches.”
